Educational cooperation

The Dutch green education institutes have a strong international interest and orientation. The internationalisation of education contributes to developing international, intercultural competences in a globalising world. The institutes support international mobility of staff and students, enhance sharing knowledge and experiences with partners, and cooperate with partners on curriculum development, teaching and learning.

  • Wageningen University and Research has a longstanding experience in educational cooperation across the world, as is shown by a number of double and joint degree programmes with universities in other countries, exchange of international staff and students, guest lectureships and student challenges.
  • The Universities of Applied Sciences have invested in establishing educational partnerships in Europe and globally over the past decades, with support of Erasmus+ and Dutch programmes on educational cooperation financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • The TVET colleges not only invest in cross-border cooperation with Germany and Belgium, but are also increasingly interested in opportunities in other countries, in and outside Europe. These interests are enhanced by opportunities offered by Erasmus+, Interreg and Dutch programmes on educational cooperation financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
